During the refurbishment of Building 8 at Rolls Royce in Ansty, we conducted a roof survey to examine the roof condition of the sheeting, flashing and gutters.

Following this, the tasks included cleaning approximately 805 meters of gutters, after which a plygene liner was installed to create a water barrier to prevent future corrosion and water ingress internally

Part of the maintenance works were to replace approximately 40,000 main fixings with new stainless steel fixings to enhance the roof’s longevity. Additionally, around 770 m2 of outer roof light sheets were renewed with new Filon Supasafe fire-rated rooflight sheets to provide a safe working area for any future maintenance works.

The main works were to prepare, apply and coat 15,000m2 of Rooflock two-coat liquid-applied roofing system to the failed coating on the existing metal sheets. The Rooflock system provides a waterproof barrier to the existing sheets, ensuring long-term protection for the roof with a manufacturers guarantee of up to 20 years.
