Overview

We are a family-run industrial roofing, sheeting and cladding business based in the Midlands and are looking to recruit a Site Supervisor, due to expansion. We are a small close-knit team and take great pride in our company, our staff, and the high quality work we undertake. Our projects are new builds, refurbishments and maintenance, ranging between £5,000 and £1million per site and we have many large, regularly returning client companies.

Candidates will have a positive attitude, good communication and motivational skills, reliable, punctual and the ability to remain calm when workload is high. Excellent time keeping, IT and administration, and organisational skills are essential.

Job Details/Description

Site Supervisor - Industrial Roofing, Sheeting and Cladding

To oversee multiple contracts running concurrently from start to finish, site locations will be mainly Midlands based and also covering the Northern part of the country. A company vehicle and mileage expenses will be provided, together with accommodation expenses for occasional overnight stays if and when required during national contracts. 95% of the role will be site based. Candidate will report directly to the Director and Project Manager for each contract and roles will include:

• Managing labour
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• General day to day running of the site
• Organising and prioritising own workload
• Liaising with main contractors/clients as their first point of contact throughout the project
• Liaising with clients' key staff, design team, project co-ordinators, draughtsmen and architects
• Attending progress and management meetings when required
• Liaising with our suppliers/plant/scaffolders when necessary
• Dealing with and resolving any site problems and issues relating to labour, plant, materials etc
• Certifying works at the necessary intervals
• Completing records and any admin necessary to fulfil the tasks required
• Ensure deadlines are achieved
• Ability to fulfil clients' contractual requirements

Candidate requirements:

Candidate will ideally be based in the Midlands area (Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire, Leicestershire/Sheffield) or locations north of the Country.
Candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge in industrial roofing, cladding and sheeting in the following roofing systems

• Twinskin sheeting
• Composite cladding roof and walls
• Standing Seam
• Single ply - flat roofs
• Rainscreen
• Built up Cladding Systems

Candidate must be confident to set up cladding operatives at new projects and be fluent in the above roofing systems. He must also be competent in reading architectural and steelwork drawings The candidate must have had extensive experience on the tools and looking for more of the managerial position now.

Qualifications and experience:

• CSCS card
• IPAF Cert
• SMSTS

Salary

£40,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
